Jim Duey

‘Hurricane Jimmie’ has been playing the electric bass since college, which was a long, long time ago. Growing up as a child of the 60’s in the Midwest and Southwest, he was exposed to many different styles of music. Defining moments in his musical development came from watching The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, James Brown on the T.A.M.I. Show and The Buck Owens Show from a local TV station in Bakersfield, California.

Jim has played in many local bands over the years and also enjoys being ‘on-call’ for working groups in the area. He is currently involved in several other music projects. They include the 60’s cover band 'Dee Dee and the Dino’s', the Bakersfield influenced 'Miss Terri and the LeRoy’s', benefit bands 'The AT&T All-Stars' and 'The FlatTones', and 'The Eden Band' from Eden Church in Edwardsville, IL. Jim believes that there are no wrong bass notes, only narrow-minded people who can’t comprehend true genius.
